Rahul is Partner & Chief Executive Officer of Group Partnership, a WPP company. Passionate about ideas, Group Partnership is a strategic partner to its client’s with a single-minded focus on both service and creativity. Practicing horizontality Group Partnership has ideation at the core of everything they do.
Rahul has over 24 years of cross-category experience and he is a keen practitioner of the communication business. He entered the world of marketing and communication by joining Contract Advertising (a subsidiary of JWT India). His quest for adventure led him to Dubai in 1992, where he joined TD&A DDB Needham. Rahul was offered a job by Rivoli Group as Brand Manager & after a brief stint at Rivoli his passion for advertising led him to the region’s oldest advertising & communications agency, Intermarkets in 1996. Here he managed key accounts such as HSBC, Singapore Airlines and Baby Shop amongst others.
In 1998, Rahul, along with 3 industry friends, started their entrepreneurial venture – The Classic Partnership Advertising. Started originally as an advertising agency, The Classic Partnership Advertising grew to become Group Partnership in 2014 with additions of 2 new verticals over the years. A PR & Social arm under the name Raee was born 2007 and then a branding arm called Brandlab came into being in 2014.
The agency’s work over the years has garnered over 75 local & international awards. From the prestigious Cannes to D&AD, Dubai Lynx & The One Show the walls at the agency tell an enviable story.
Rahul strongly believes that as a communication professional our job is to tell engaging brand stories. Stories that resonate with the consumer’s & ultimately give brand a purpose, “I love the job I do, and the people I work with’’ he says. “The feeling to create something out of nothing is unparalleled and I would not trade this for anything else”.
Rahul is a member of the International Advertising Association’s UAE Chapter, and is actively involved in various forums and events. He is the Board Member of Al Manzil School – a non-profit organization for individuals and children with special needs.
